The classical goddess of love is Venus de Milo; she was worshiped under many names in imperial times. Venus Genetrix -mother of Aeneas, Venus Felix -bringer of good fortune, Venus Victrix -bringer of victory, and Venus Verticordia -protector of feminine chastity. She was married to the Roman god Vulcan, but cheated on him often. She committed adultery with many men, among them the Roman god Mars, Adonis -a shepherd, Anchises -father of Aeneas.
In various mythologies of the world "the goddess of love", the Roman Venus de Milo, is know as Aphrodite, Cytherea and Cypris.
